The assignment for St. Paul's Church was to find a solution for lighting up the church's three clocks. The solution compliments the clocks' special construction and creates focus on the numbers.
LIGHTPLANNER has advised, designed the lighting and managed the project, which has been made in collaboration with Entreprenør Guldmann Dam, Pre / Nord A / S and the architectural firm Toyberg-Frandzen A / S.
Calculation of the location and angle of the light sources, with a focus on creating an even light, without making the light source visible. To achieve this, we specially designed a reflector that lies behind the light source and reflects the light evenly on the entire dial.
LIGHTPLANNER has been responsible for technical advice for choosing the right light source as well as placement and integration in the watch.
The light in the watches are carefully adjusted so that it just fulfills the function, neither more nor less. The light intensity is thus only 5% of its actual intensity, to create an even and subtle distribution.
